The news is talking about record numbers turning out to vote in this election, I have mixed feelings about this. First, I think it’s GREAT that so many people are taking an interest in politics and making sure their opinions and views are counted which is wonderful (especially for my guy Obama). The flip side is ….. where the hell were these people in 2004? Is it just that Barack has mobilized and energized SO many people or is it, as some of the Republican pundits claim, huge numbers of African Americans are registering and getting out to vote because of there is an African American candidate? I don’t know. What I do know is that I am elated to see elderly, Southern white folk who are behind Barack – that, to me, is just totally freakin’ cool!
Under the Constitution The vote was illegal .
Article. II. – The Executive Branch
The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted.
This never happened. The votes were not transported and count in the this manner. The election was not Constitutional and the winners or losers were not leagal or right.
Anyone taking the oath of office at this point will be committing Treason against the American People and the Constitution.
That was originally true but, if you look at subsequent amendments to this particular article(there have been 27) I think you might see that it really isn’t the same as the original intent.
