FINALLY – I found the lyrics to Sean Chapin’s song “Stand Up” used in the video!
It’s the morning after, I take a warm shower sit down and grab the paper
Can’t believe that the proposition came out ahead as I read the headlines
Yesterday the big election I’m in pain my gut is knotted
Tears are running down my partner’s face he can’t believe what’s happening
We just want to live our lives
It’s unfair to compromise
I don’t understand the lies
I won’t hide in this disguise
We all deserve equality
And we are all the same inside
We will not take this anymore
We’ve got to stand up
It’s the weekend after I grab a warm coffee as I lounge on the sidewalk
People watching I catch a wedding ring on the finger as they’re walking by
It’s so beautiful I think that everyone is beautiful and
Why would someone say that we are ugly when our love is beautiful
We just want to live our lives
It’s unfair to compromise
I don’t understand the lies
I won’t hide in this disguise
We all deserve equality
And we are all the same inside
We will not take this anymore
We’ve got to stand up
We just want to live our lives
It’s unfair to compromise
I don’t understand the lies
I won’t hide in this disguise
We all deserve equality
And we are all the same inside
We will not take this anymore
We’ve got to stand up
We will stand together
