Well, it wasn’t quite the blizzard that my uncle has been having in Halifax BUT we did get a wee bit o’ snow this morning!

Snow on my Passat!
It was actually enough to have several schools opening 2 hours late but, then again, this is Virginia….we panic when it rains hard, let alone a little snow. As much as I hated dealing with the snow in Syracuse, I really would LOVE to have one REALLY, big snowstorm….at least 1 per year….that isn’t asking too much is it?
…it IS snowing on the blog. If I can’t have snow in real life then….I guess I’ll just settle for a little ‘virtual’ snow.

…okay so it only lasted 10-15 minutes MAX but it was snow none-the-less. As usual, yours truly turned into “Insta-Child” and ran to the window like I’d never seen the stuff before. As snow goes, it was fairly lackluster but, the red tailed hawk that was floating on the air currents between Sanger Hall and City Hall (probably looking for a tasty pigeon lunch) added to the vista. This was the tiny little flakes that were blowing sideways – heck, they almost looked gray. I would have been MUCH happier with the big fat, fluffy flakes that just seem to float on air, meandering down the the earth below. Eh, I’ll take it where I can get it – it brought a brief respite from staring at the dual monitors of email, spreadsheets, Banner, and eVA. Heck, I even ran into the next room to tell Sharon it was snowing and helped her rip up her mini blinds trying to show her the hawk.
Sometimes I’m such a spaz – no wait – strike that – it’s my childlike, boyish charm and spritelike behavior that most people find endearing about me so – SPAZ ON! I can’t wait till we have a HUGE snow storm – maybe (and I know it’s not likely) but, maybe we’ll get snow THIS year. Hey, never hurts to dream – costs me nothing.
